Part of the training each Explicit Evangelism participant receives is the G.O.S.P.E.L.
This is an invaluable evangelism tool developed by Dare2Share ministries that is concise, effective, and life changing.
The G.O.S.P.E.L. is not intended to be printed out and passed around on the street or to be used door to door. This is a starting point that allows us to become intimately familiar with the gospel message and be able to communicate that message Explicitly.
SHARING THE G.O.S.P.E.L.
1. Come alongside what God is already doing in the individual’s life.
- Strike up honest conversations with people
- Listen to what they have to say
- Look for opportunities to share the GOSPEL
2. Ask TWO questions:
a. Do you know for sure if you will go to heaven someday?
b. If I could tell you in 2 minutes how you can know for sure, would that be good news?
SHARE THE GOSPEL

ASK 2 MORE QUESTIONS
1. Does that make sense?
-You will undoubtedly run into questions anytime you share the Gospel. You can always offer what knowledge you have of the truth, but don’t be afraid to say, “I don’t know.”
-We don’t have all of the answers, but a good response for tough questions is, “I’ll find out.”
-Don’t Argue…no one has ever been argued into heaven. Let the Gospel speak for itself. Remember, you don’t need to prove God…that’s like trying to defend a lion. Just share the truth.
2. Would you like to pray and place your faith in Christ right now?
-If yes, a simple prayer could go something like this…
“Dear God, I believe Jesus is Your Son and that I am hopelessly lost without you. I realize that I can never be good enough to get into heaven. Right now I believe that Jesus died in my place for my sins. I confess my sin to you and ask your forgiveness. Thank you for your forgiveness and for the gift of eternal life. Amen!”
- The next step: bring them to church!
-Just like you wouldn’t leave a new born baby at the hospital, don’t leave this new born Christian to fend for themselves.
WE ARE NOT CLOSERS
It’s a rush and it’s an amazing feeling of joy and celebration when someone’s eye’s are opened by God and they receive the truth and become part of the family. But Jesus Himself told the Apostles that 3 out of 4 hearers of the Gospel would have a hard heart that would ultimately not believe.
For those that hear the gospel and yet refuse to believe, you can only pray for them; that God softens their heart and opens their eyes to the truth.
“If our gospel is veiled, it’s veiled to those who are perishing.”
-Apostle Paul
