Explicit Evangelism Statement of Faith
The following doctrinal statement is the basic foundation for this organization, and the same shall not be amended or deleted, except by vote or written consent of all the Board of Directors of Explicit Evangelism.
-
The Bible
-The Bible is God’s written revelation to man, given to us by the Holy Spirit and is completely inerrant, infallible, and God breathed.
-
Creation
-Creation happened in six literal days by God’s breath and word.
-
God
-There is only one living and true God, an infinite, all knowing Spirit, perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
Man
-Man was created by God in His image and likeness. Free of sin.
-Adam’s disobedience revealed the will and Word of God, man lost his innocence; incurred the penalty of spiritual and physical death; became deserving of the wrath of God; and became corrupt and utterly powerless of choosing or doing that which is acceptable to God apart from divine grace.
-Because all were in Adam, a nature corrupted by Adam’s sin was transmitted to all people of all ages ever since with Jesus Christ being the only exception. All men are thus sinners by nature, by choice, and by divine declaration
-
Salvation
-Salvation is wholly of God by grace because of the sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus Christ.
-
Regeneration
-Regeneration is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit by which the divine nature and life are given.
-
Justification
-Justification before God is an act of God by which He declares righteous those who, by faith in Christ, repent of their sins.
-
Sanctification
-Every believer is sanctified unto God by justification and is therefore declared holy and is thereby identified as a saint.
-
Security of Salvation
-Once saved, always saved. One cannot be good enough to get in and, in the same respect, one cannot be bad enough to get out.
-
Eternity
-At the closing of the millennium, believers will enter the eternal state of glory with God, where they will forever exist in fellowship with God and each another.
